Hand-in-Hand with Nepal COVID-19 Relief

Our healthcare workers are on the frontlines of battling the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) that’s spreading rapidly throughout our city, state and nation. As a show of gratitude KTM CTY distributed 21 PPE suits to the nurses working in the ICU ward at Shahid Gangalal Hospital. Thank you for the sacrifices you make, every day and especially during this pandemic.

We distributed PPE suits to a representative of Unity in Health Nepal with support from NYEF Kathmandu Chapter. These suits will be sent to Sandakpur village for healthcare workers.

Unity in Health Nepal works on improving access to high-quality mental health services and supporting the social inclusion of those affected by mental illness in Nepal. As part of its ongoing community based program, During the time of lockdown, UiH Nepal will send essential psychotropic medication, essential utilities and PPE's for the healthworkers, in consultation with the Sandakpur Village Municipality. UiH Nepal provides free medication and a psychosocial support service to people affected by mental illness in Sandakpur, Ilam, who otherwise have nowhere or no one to turn to for help.
